Before you drop a significant chunk of change on that Benny Goodman autograph you've always wanted for the studio wall, check out
this post by Chris Albertson over at Stomp Off. According to the post, Albertson worked as a ghost signer for hundreds of Goodman autographs during the summer of 1962. It makes sense that the King of Swing would have others handle the tsunami of fan mail that came his way, and really serves as a cautionary tale for those bidding on auction sites, hoping to land a piece of Goodman memorabilia.
Beyond the autograph information, there are some great Goodman quotes and stories on the blog--well worth the read.
